The classic among HERING's platform systems is modula® - the TT slab. The structure of the platform slab resembles the Greek letter TT, as the name suggests. The system consists of a monolithic platform slab on which webs formed at the factory are connected to the foundation. The platform slabs are then founded on individual foundations at their joints.
The main advantage of building with prefabricated platforms, especially with the TT slab, is the enormous amount of time saved on site. In an ideal scenario, 100 m of prefabricated platform can be installed in just 2 or 3 shifts.
There are no limits to the variety of applications with modula® - the TT slab. The platform can be built as a free-standing outdoor platform (type 1) or as an outdoor platform that can be backfilled (type 1b). Island platforms can also be easily constructed with the TT slab. For this, either two backfillable type 1b elements are arranged mirrored opposite each other and the centre core is either paved conventionally or built with prefabricated elements as well.
The HERING modula® - the TT slab platform system is of the highest quality. In addition to the high-quality concrete surface and the clear contours, the system also impresses with the low number of joints. This ensures low maintenance costs and also promotes safety on the platform, as there is neither vegetation nor tripping hazards, which often occur over the years with conventional construction methods.
We are of course on hand to support you in the planning of your system platform projects. To achieve a project-related solution that is both economical and functional, we can provide you with planning aids such as sample plans and Revit component families in our digital planning catalogue. However, please do not hesitate to contact us in person if you have any questions or suggestions.
Verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are available for the modula® Type 1|1b and modula®light precast platform systems. An EPD is an independently verified environmental product declaration that presents a product’s environmental impact over its entire life cycle in a transparent and comparable format. The EPDs provide reliable data for assessing the environmental impact of the precast platform systems. Among other things, they show that the SUS.con variant has a lower global warming potential (GWP) than the standard version of our precast platform systems. In addition, the use of recycled aggregates reduces the need for primary raw materials.
