Inspiring mix of input and reflection
The one-and-a-half-day program combined inspiring impulses with personal reflection and lively exchange:
- Day 1 started with a joint lunch and the question: “What does retirement actually mean?”. Topics included health, fitness, nutrition, as well as letting go of worries and gaining optimism.
- Day 2 focused on leisure activities, hobbies, travel, lifelong learning, and the idea of working in retirement. Other key aspects were gratitude, partnership, and social networks as essential elements of a fulfilling life.
The workshop concluded with a creative motto card session, providing each participant with personal inspiration for their retirement journey.
Positive feedback and valuable encounters
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive: Participants praised the interactive format, the welcoming atmosphere, and the opportunity to connect with colleagues from different areas of the company. The workshop was characterized by curiosity, openness, and mutual appreciation.
Outlook: More to come
With the “Best Possible Retirement” workshop, the HERING Academy has expanded its offerings to support employees in all phases of life – including the transition into retirement. Given the enthusiastic response, HERING plans to repeat this format in the future.
