Prefabricated platforms from HERING are characterised by a high degree of prefabrication, factory quality guarantee, high-quality surfaces, design diversity and numerous construction variants. Thanks to further developments and system optimisations, the various modula® types are suitable for individual new construction, conversion and surface refurbishment or for changing the access level of platforms.
The construction industry faces the critical challenge of significantly reducing its CO₂ emissions. Concrete, one of the most widely used construction materials in the world, is responsible for a considerable share of these emissions. Nevertheless, it remains indispensable for modern construction projects.
Verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are available for the modula® Type 1|1b and modula®light precast platform systems. An EPD is an independently verified declaration that presents a product’s environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle in a transparent and comparable way.
SUS.con – HERING’s CO₂-reduced concrete, actively contributing to an improved carbon footprint.

The modula® TT slab and modula® light systems are particularly suitable for the construction of new platforms. Both systems can be installed either as freestanding platforms – Type 1 – or as backfilled platforms – Type 1b. By using modula® shift elements, both systems can also be raised or lowered with a manageable amount of work.

For temporary platform requirements, HERING developed the modula® temporary system. It consists of a platform made of steel panels supported on precast foundations. The temporary platform can be used during construction work, in emergency situations or as an additional temporary stop for trade fairs and other major events. Existing platforms can also be temporarily raised or extended using this system.

For raising and refurbishing conventional platforms, HERING developed the modula® flex system – a slim, textile-reinforced slab with a ready-to-use platform surface. Safety-related features such as tactile guidance systems or hazard-area markings can also be retrofitted easily.
Our modular platform systems stand out for their quality and flexibility. With our professional maintenance and repair service, we help ensure their long-term usability and safety.
With HERING platform systems, you benefit not only from innovative solutions but also from a comprehensive maintenance and repair service.

At HERING, we see ourselves as pioneers in the field of sustainability. As early as 1996, we were the first construction company in Germany to obtain EMAS certification. Every three years, we publish an environmental statement documenting our goals and how we have achieved them. Here you can find our current environmental statement.

As a confirmation of decades of research into solutions for producing resource-efficient concrete, HERING Bau GmbH & Co. KG Systeme received the CSC certification in gold for the first time in February 2026, with an outstanding score of 75,39 %.
