modula®: HERING system platforms
New: Platforms with CO₂-Reduced Concrete

Systems for new platform construction

The modula®-TT slab and modula® light are particularly well suited to the construction of new platforms. Both systems can be designed as a free-standing platform (type 1) and as a backfillable platform (type 1b).

modula® TT-Platte and modula® light

The modula®-TT slab is a monolithic platform slab where the webs are already formed in the factory. The system is founded at points on prefabricated foundations, usually outside the pressure range of the railway traffic loads. Due to the small number of components combined with the large spans of the platform slabs, the system enables the fastest possible installation - especially in tight closure times - with rail or mobile cranes.

modula® light is the modular platform system from HERING, consisting of platform flat slabs and separate ledgers as a substructure.  The foundation is carried out on prefabricated foundations in the same way as the TT slab. As a result, the construction is smaller and consists of more components than the modula® TT slab, but can be installed with small lifting equipment such as two-way excavators or mobile excavators due to the lower component weight.

By using modula® shift elements, both systems can also be raised and lowered with manageable effort.

EPD-Verified Precast Platform Systems: Transparent Proof of Sustainability

Verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are available for the modula® Type 1|1b and modula®light precast platform systems. An EPD is an independently verified environmental product declaration that presents a product’s environmental impact over its entire life cycle in a transparent and comparable format. The EPDs provide reliable data for assessing the environmental impact of the precast platform systems. Among other things, they show that the SUS.con variant has a lower global warming potential (GWP) than the standard version of our precast platform systems. In addition, the use of recycled aggregates reduces the need for primary raw materials.
