Efficiency played a key role even in the preparation phase: turnouts, sleepers and rails were pre-assembled on site to ensure a smooth construction process. The dismantling of the existing track systems and the removal of the old ballast were carried out with the support of HERING Bahndienste GmbH – a strong example of perfectly coordinated site logistics within the HERING Group.
Following the installation of the new ballast, the pre-assembled turnouts and track sections were precisely positioned using a railway slewing crane. Subsequent welding, alignment and tamping works ensured the final positioning of the track system and its safe commissioning.
The project clearly demonstrates the strength of the HERING Group: combined expertise in track construction, heavy machinery and railway services, short decision-making paths and well-coordinated teams – all delivered from a single source.
