Career Kickoff 2026: HERING on the Hunt for Young Talent

The first quarter of the year at HERING is dedicated to attracting young talent for apprenticeships and internships. Over the past few weeks, the company has been actively present throughout the region.

HERING-Team at the SüSi 2026

At this year’s SüdSiegerland Apprenticeship Fair, held on February 11, 2026, at the SSI Schäfer halls in Neunkirchen, the HERING Group presented itself as one of the region’s forward-looking employers. The focus was on:

  • Direct exchange: Students, young people, and parents had the opportunity to speak informally with apprenticeship managers and trainers.
  • Real perspectives: HERING showcased concrete career paths and attractive apprenticeship opportunities in construction and administration.
  • Regional strength: As one of the leading employers from Burbach, HERING emphasized the importance of strong local companies for the municipalities of Burbach, Neunkirchen, and Wilnsdorf.

A Strong Signal for the Region

The fair provided the ideal platform to demonstrate that a first-class career does not require moving far from home. Combining tradition with modern employee benefits, HERING positions itself as a top address for those who want to actively shape their professional future.

Setting the Course for the Future

On February 24 and 25, students from the Johann-von-Nassau School in Dillenburg focused on shaping their professional paths during their project week. The HERING Group participated as a cooperation partner and delivered two days of hands-on career orientation.

The Program at a Glance

Day 1: Coaching Session at School
No dry lectures – but real interaction. In 90-minute sessions, students received valuable insights into application training straight from practical experience.
How do you convince in an interview? What do training companies really look for? These and other questions were explored together.

Day 2: Practical Insights at HERING
From the classroom directly into the company: During a guided tour in Burbach, students gained behind-the-scenes insights into the HERING world. And because theory alone can be dull, things became practical: In the production hall, students cast their own concrete molds and built smartphone holders.

Conclusion

A dynamic mix of input and hands-on experience that demonstrated how diverse and exciting careers in construction can be.
