The Bundesingenieurkammer (Federal Chamber of Engineers) and the Verband Beratender Ingenieure (VBI – Association of Consulting Engineers) celebrate the most innovative bridges every year – a total of 42 submissions for awards for structures were submitted in 2020. One award went to one of our bridges – the Stuttgartern Holzbrücke, which is a timber bridge at the Birkelspitze in Weinstadt! It’s ‘Remstal Bridge’ at HERING, which also supplied the carbon-fibre-reinforced concrete pavement slabs for the project (see our news report for details).
A total of two main prizes and three awards were presented. A great success!
