The objective was to effectively shield the hotel complex from surrounding noise while simultaneously implementing an architecturally appealing solution. The proven Urban Protection Shield® transparent noise barrier system was used – a solution that impresses not only with its acoustic performance but also meets high aesthetic standards.
A total of six noise protection facades with custom-fit dimensions were installed, blending seamlessly into the architecture of the new hotel. Depending on the structural situation, the elements vary significantly in width and height – from the compact Wall 1 (1.60 m x 11.00 m) to the striking Wall 3 (15.80 m long and only 2.40 m high), as well as a large-scale construction between two buildings measuring 10.86 m x 11.00 m.
For the six walls, 58 special noise-insulating glass panels were installed, all equipped with bird protection features. This reduces the risk of bird collisions and at the same time contributes to sustainable building practices and environmental protection.
The new Best Western Hotel now benefits from a high-quality and sustainable noise protection solution that skillfully combines functionality and design.
