As part of the project, several sections of track and rail were renewed and two switches were replaced. The scope of work also included ballast renewal, tamping and welding operations, as well as extensive rail stress adjustment.
Key Project Figures:
- Renewal of several track and rail sections
- Replacement of two switches
- 54 welds
- Rail stress adjustment over more than 2,000 metres
- Removal and renewal of the track ballast
- Deployment of a road-rail excavator, tamping machine and railway cranes
Precise coordination of the individual work stages was particularly important. Rail-bound construction logistics, tightly scheduled track possessions and cooperation with safety, signalling and electrical engineering specialists all had to be carefully aligned.
Thanks to the effective coordination of everyone involved, the project was completed successfully. A strong railway construction project in our local region – many thanks to all teams and project partners for their commitment.
