HERING Platform Roofs: Perfectly Connecting New and Existing in Büchen

In Büchen, HERING Infrastructure Systems implemented two new platform roofs for our client SPITZKE SE. The project utilized two variants of our proven Evolution 2020 roofing system: Type 2.3, measuring 60 meters in length and 13 meters in width, and Type 4, with 0 meters in length and 5 meters in width.

A special challenge of this project was the integration of both new roofs with the existing Zwiesel platform roofs. Precise planning and tailor-made execution were essential to ensure that the new and existing structures could be seamlessly connected into a continuous roofing solution.

The installation works took place between January and March 2026. The team faced not only the complex geometries of the two roof structures but also harsh winter conditions, including frost and heavy snowfall. Despite these challenges, the project was successfully completed on schedule.

The result is convincing: a clear and well-engineered construction that harmoniously integrates with the existing rail infrastructure.
