Extensive Drilling Work in Two-Shift Operation

To complete the extensive workload within the scheduled timeframe, the team worked in a two-shift operation. The scope of work included:

  • 16 reinforced bored piles
  • 16 unreinforced bored piles
  • 7 gravel piles

Premiere: Bored Pile Walls with the Foundation Construction Train

A special feature of this operation: For the first time, bored pile walls were constructed using the Foundation Construction Train. This allowed the team to successfully implement another application of the Foundation Construction Train in practice.

With the completion of the 39 boreholes, another important section of the Rhine Right Corridor rehabilitation has been finished – a strong result for the HERING foundation engineering team and another milestone for the use of the Foundation Construction Train.
