The proven platform systems modula® flex and modula® light were used. In total, 31.89 metres of modula® flex slabs with an area of 45.92 m² and 145 m² of modula® light were installed.
Innovative Solution for the Platform Extension
Extending the existing platform was particularly challenging. At a location where conventional platform construction would not have been structurally feasible, an innovative solution using modula® flex was implemented. The slabs were installed on a precast substructure with torsion beams, enabling a safe and durable platform extension precisely adapted to the local conditions.
Custom Foundations for Existing Cable Routes
Individual solutions were also required for the modula® light system. The basis was a design by the engineering office Krebs + Kiefer, which HERING Infrastructure Systems further developed specifically for the project. As existing underground cable routes had to remain in place, special custom foundations were designed. In addition, specially developed modula® light slabs were used, featuring internal earthing at the front edge. This special design was necessary because the earthing in the lower area would no longer have been accessible for inspection at a later stage.
Future-Proof Platform Construction Under Complex Conditions
Thanks to tailor-made constructions, a future-proof platform solution was created at Enzberg station — even under complex structural conditions. The project highlights the strengths of modular platform systems: flexible planning, precise prefabrication and reliable implementation, even when existing infrastructure places high demands on construction and engineering.
