The installation features a 35 m² organic photovoltaic (OPV) façade, specifically developed for real-world performance monitoring. The aim is to transform existing buildings into energy-generating structures.
Key facts at a glance:
- Module design & façade integration precisely tailored to the building’s structure
- Overall design, technical system development, and both electrical & mechanical implementation by ASCA
- Module manufacturing by ASCA using a green donor polymer from Raynergy Tek Incorporation
- Installation & monitoring by FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg – performance data will be collected for at least one year
With this installation, the project takes a major step closer to its goal of combining architecture with renewable energy and driving the energy transition in the building sector.
