Hering temporary platform for Halle-Rosengarten station

[Translate to English:] 60 m behelfsmäßiger Bahnsteig Typ modula®

A 60 m temporary platform of the modula® type with a drainage channel and railings was constructed in Halle-Rosengarten. The works on behalf of DB Station & Service AG Halle began in September 2014. Deutsche Bahn and the government of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt invested in this construction project. In the last few months, Deutsche Bahn AG has reconstructed platform 2 as a temporary solution at Halle-Rosengarten station. The platform was fitted out with a weather shelter and a navigation system for passengers. The lighting and the access facilities were replaced and the old facilities removed.

The works were completed in time for the change to the timetable on 14 December 2014. From now on, the trains running on regional line 75 Nordhausen–Halle (Saale) and the suburban trains on the S 7 route Halle-Nietleben–Halle (Saale) Central Station–Halle-Trotha are once again stopping at platform 2 at Halle-Rosengarten station. Heavy rainfall in the early summer of 2013 had caused the ground underneath platform 2 to shift. The platform had had to be shut ever since and replacement transport organised for passengers. In order to rectify this situation as quickly as possible, DB and Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH (NASA) had agreed to rebuild platform 2 as a temporary solution until the scheduled overhaul of the station. It may also be possible to use the newly built part of the platform and the foundation for the final version in the future.

It is anticipated that the new station will be delivered along with the construction of the new bridge over Merseburger Straße in Halle (Saale) in 2019/2020. ..
