In September, three track construction gangs from Burbach were employed in three consecutive weeks to replace tracks at Darmstadt main railway station. In total, four tracks covering a total length of around 1600 m were reconstructed.
The Hering construction gangs repeatedly had to contend with changes to the schedule at short notice as the supply and removal of materials to and from the construction sites was changed several times as a result of bottlenecks in the availability of railway wagons and storage capacities.
Nevertheless, thanks to the high level of personal dedication from the workers involved as well as our subcontractors, the partial construction projects were still completed on time, apart from a few small remaining tasks.
