As part of the reconstruction work at the Euskirchen signal box, six sets of points were renewed at Euskirchen railway station.
In the first phase, starting on 22 November 2014, three sets of points were renewed and the light blocking signals from the electronic signal box project were removed.
Phase two began seven days later with the renewal of another three sets of points. Here the light blocking signal from the electronic signal box project was also removed.
Both phases began operating at the same time on 8 December 2014. All of the tracks affected by the reconstruction work were closed throughout the duration of the work to renew the points....
