Once again this winter, Hering Bahnbau is delivering services for Deutsche Bahn Fahrwegdienste as part of its winter maintenance contract.
Staff are out and about from Herdecke in the Ruhr area down to Friedberg in the Wetterau region to clear snow and ice from tracks, points and railway crossings. The requests received from the "DB central office in Duisburg and Frankfurt" are dealt with promptly.
Thanks to clear and comprehensive scheduling and planning, our staff are always where they need to be at the right time. To ensure that we are able to guarantee the extensive logistics required to handle the requests, it is necessary to have a large fleet and use additional service vehicles.
After carrying out the clearance work under the watchful eye of flagmen who are ordered and provided directly through our client, Deutsche Bahn, the work is approved by the local dispatcher before it can be accounted for.
The flexibility of the track layers and civil engineers at the site in Burbach guarantees that the work proceeds smoothly. This is particularly important on special dates such as Boxing Day 2014.
