Track Foundations with HERING

Reference projects

With special set-up procedures and tool logistics as well as high foundation-laying performances, quality and speed, the rail-mounted carrier adapts special civil engineering processes that are employed in the field of railway construction and guarantees the sustainable, safe and cost-effective fulfilment of your requirements.

HERING reference projects Foundation Construction Train:

Track foundations with equipment by HERING

  • Vibration-free drilling of holes with diameters of up to 1350 mm
  • MR 105 V (SilentVibro) vibrator for the high-frequency vibrating of sheet-piling profiles of lengths of up to 12 metres
  • HRS 5 hydraulic hammer for pile driving lengths of up to 12,20 metres
  • MPU 660 sheet-piling press or MPZ for pressing sheet pilings, Z-profiles, U-profiles and light profiles of up to 12 metres in length

Heavy-Duty Operation for IDEFIX in Karlsruhe-Durlach

The KRC 1200-2 "IDEFIX" was deployed in Karlsruhe-Durlach for challenging bridge works. The task: removing and installing abutments and a bridge superstructure with components weighing up to 55 tons.

Precision in a Rail Environment

The project involved several complex lifts directly in the track area. Existing bridge and abutment components had to be dismantled and removed from the construction site before the new parts could be installed.

Working in the immediate vicinity of the railway required special attention: Train traffic continued on an adjacent track during the operations. Between tracks, overhead lines, and existing infrastructure, every step had to be precisely coordinated.

Teamwork Makes the Difference

Not only the performance of the KRC 1200-2 was crucial. Above all, it was the collaboration of the on-site team that prepared the rigging, secured the heavy components, guided the crane, and ensured safe and precise lifts.

A challenging operation where man and machine worked hand in hand.
