ECM audit successfully passed!

On 10 and 11 March 2026, our ECM organization in Sabrodt was audited. During the audit, our processes, structures and procedures were thoroughly examined – from organizational aspects to practical implementation in the workshop and warehouse.

ECM stands for “Entity in Charge of Maintenance.” Companies with this certification are responsible for ensuring that railway vehicles are properly maintained and comply with the requirements of the EU regulation. Especially with our rail vehicles and crane fleet, a functioning ECM organization is a key component in ensuring railway safety. We are therefore all the more pleased that we successfully passed the audit.

A big thank you to our ECM team for the excellent preparation, as well as to the Gleisbau Sabrodt team for their support and hospitality on site.

This makes it clear: HERING is no longer a “newcomer” in this field – we have a well-functioning ECM organization!

HERING sustainability

At HERING, we see ourselves as pioneers in the field of sustainability. As early as 1996, we were the first construction company in Germany to obtain EMAS certification. Every three years, we publish an environmental statement documenting our goals and how we have achieved them. Actually, for the first time, we published a sustainability report with an integrated environmental statement in accordance with EMAS - a logical next step in view of our ecological and social responsibility. It documents how we deal internally and externally with the issues that are essential to our future viability.
